The Office 365 team has introduced a new Office 365 admin center videos page. You will learn how to add a domain name, add people, set up document storage, download software, and much more in a series of short, easy to follow videos. Check it out today.
I am surprised I have not posted this before, but here it is… The Exchange Server 2016 Quick Start Guide from Paul Cunningham. And if you are planning on taking the 70-345 exam, I highly recommend both his book and videos for preparation resources.
Well, that is one busy infographic. If you need more insight into Cybersecurity, here is a great video on securing #Office365 like a cyber security professional. This session covers the primary areas of customer responsibility with Office 365 including administrative privilege management, account and access management, and client endpoints.
Really, can’t believe it has been close to 18 months since my last Microsoft Certification. (Not counting the new Streamlined Certifications that came out on September 26, 2016. Those were just updates to existing MCSEs.) But, I finally passed the two Office 365 exams (70-346 and 70-347) for the corresponding MCSA. I spent about two month total of study time. I started with the Microsoft Press book mainly because I picked up a free copy while attending Microsoft Ignite. However, If you join Microsoft Virtual Academy you can get a discount on Microsoft Press books and also watch all the great Office 365 videos while you’re there. Finally, I do have to give a Thank You to Pluralsight and Jeff Adkin for the great videos that really gave me a great foundation for the exams.
I find it slightly amusing this appeared on my Twitter feed today as I finish up studying for my Office 365 exam. It is a great introduction into the Identity Models for Office 365, but even more important you can get access to Office 365 for IT Pros. This online guide is continually updated to match developments within Office 365. Authored by a team of MVPs, this book gives you the real world, independent view of Office 365 that Microsoft’s marketing materials don’t provide.
Seems like I like to take my certifications backwards, but I passed my 70-347 exam on Office 365 Services today. Going to take a day or two off and then start studying for the 70-346 exam to complete the MCSA on Office 365. It is really nice to be able to work on the Learn on Demand labs from Microsoft Ignite instead of having to use my private or work Office 365 accounts.
