Once again I had a great time at the PASS Summit this week. I was definitely nervous as this was my first time speaking at a larger conference. 82 people attended my session on “The Vocabulary of Performance Tuning”. The feedback was good on the 18 evaluations I received back. I know I overdid it with the song references during the presentations and need to work on staying focused on the presentation.
Some additional highlights were working as a PASS Ambassador directing traffic between sessions and hosting the SQL Saturday Birds of a Feather lunch table. The downside is that I was extremely jetlagged more than usual on a west coast trip and never rebounded. I think flying during time change weekend had something to do with it.
